Mark Gatiss (/ ˈ ɡ eɪ t ɪ s / ⓘ; [1] [2] born 17 October 1966) is an English actor, comedian, screenwriter, director, producer and novelist. He is best known for his work in television acting in and co-creating shows with Steven Moffat .
