VHS and digital View-Master Interactive Vision is an interactive movie VHS console game system, [ 2 ] introduced in 1988 and released in the USA in 1989 by View-Master Ideal Group, Inc. [ 3 ] The tagline is "the Two-Way Television System that makes you a part of the show!"

According to the book Sesame Street: A Celebration - 40 Years of Life on the Street the segment was discontinued after 2003 because, "kids didn't know the new Muppets and became confused, and the frenetic pace of the segment raised concerns. The puppets Mooba, Mel, Narf, and Groogel literally bounced off the walls.
A total of 780 episodes were produced in the show's six-season run, 130 per season. As with Sesame Street, each episode of The Electric Company was numbered on-screen instead of using traditional episode titles. Seasons One through Four were numbered 1–520 (1971–1975).
