[2] Greene County was created on February 9, 1796, from part of Washington County and named for General Nathanael Greene. The county is part of the Southwest Pennsylvania region of the state.
William Cree House is a historic home located at Jefferson Township in Greene County, Pennsylvania. It was built in 1792, and is a two-story, three-bay, banked stone dwelling.
