Government Post Graduate College, Asghar Mall, Rawalpindi, founded as Sanatan Dharma High School, is a historical and prominent government college in Rawalpindi, Pakistan. It was established in 1913 as a high school by Sanatan Dharma, a Hindu religious movement. [1]
In 1957, it was relocated to Rawalpindi under plans to establish a medical complex in the city. The college was renamed as Armed Forces Medical College (AFM College) in September 1960 and finally assumed its current name in 1997. AFPGMI was affiliated with the Quaid-i-Azam University as the degree awarding university since 1967.

Begum Viqar-un-Nisa Noon also founded the Viqar-un-Nisa Noon Girls' Higher Secondary School in Rawalpindi. This college was the first established part of the school, but it has since then been taken over by the government. Today, the college remains a government institution while the school is still private. [2]

On 1 April 1957, the College of Electrical and Mechanical Engineering was established at Quetta as EME School. In 1969, EME School was given the status of a college and civilians were also admitted. In 1981, a BSc program started at EME and a few years later in April 1984, EME moved to its current location in Rawalpindi from Quetta.
