UNC Anesthesiology Residency Program. The UNC Department of Anesthesiology, which dates back to 1969, has a long tradition of training outstanding anesthesiologists. Our ACGME-accredited program is comprised of 62 residency positions (14 PGY-1 positions and 16 positions in each CA class).
