I love driving a jeep, and getting nervous about the mileage. it does not appear i can afford a new jeep, as i wished for, now i am beginning to do research of how to purchase a good used one.
Red 2004 Rubicon Automatics are the only known jeep to not have problems. They are also widely thought to be the most attractive and fastest of the TJ's. With a theoretical top speed of 173 mph with 35's and a .69 overdrive.
Like the title says, what's the best model year Jeep to buy, and maybe what model (sport/rubicon)? I will be lifting the vehicle and putting on at least 33s. It will be doing 75% pavement and 25% off-road.

Openpetal - Since you purchased your Jeep (and it is a Jeep not a car, never call them a car) so long ago, most likely you no longer have monthly payments on the Jeep. Make the commitment to put as much into a savings account as your payment was. Then when it comes time to have repairs done, or purchase a newer Jeep, you have some put aside.
