Speaking as a language teacher, this page seems very biased toward a part-to-whole, discrete approach like phonics vs a whole-to-part, immersive approach like Whole Language. This would be analogous to a chef throwing out all cookbooks requiring more than 20 ingredients per recipe and two hours of prep time in favour of simple, quick dishes.
