Nicola Jane Milner OBE FBA FSA (born 4 September 1973) is a British archaeologist and academic. She is head of the Department of Archaeology at the University of York. [1] Her research focuses on the Mesolithic period, and the transition between the Mesolithic and Neolithic.

The Archaeological Journal is a peer-reviewed academic journal for archaeological and architectural reports and articles. It was established in 1844 by the British Archaeological Association as a quarterly journal, but was taken over by the British Archaeological Institute (now known as the Royal Archaeological Institute) in 1845, and the institute has remained its publisher ever since.
It is 'essentially a "news" magazine' which looks for new discoveries when they occur, and reports on recent excavations. The producers work in collaboration with the British Museum, the British Academy, and many universities, both in the UK and across the world.
