Shikadai realizes he has been too harsh with his classmate Metal Lee, who is always nervous when in front of other students. After Shikadai consults his father, Shikamaru Nara, he decides to apologize to him. However, the next day, Lee is possessed by the same dark aura that affected Denki.
Kawaki and Mozuku go after Kurobane while Shikadai takes Cho-Cho back to Konoha. Naruto and Shikamaru decide to send Team 7, who completed their mission, to back up Shikadai's team after learning the truth of the other boys murders from Konohamaru. Sarada and Boruto find Shikadai and Cho-Cho and learn what's happening.

Akari, Chinatsu, Sakurako and Himawari try to think of ways to pass time in class. Later, Himawari agrees to help teach Chinatsu to knit a scarf, which leaves Sakurako feeling lonely without her. As Valentine's Day comes and the girls give each other chocolates, Himawari gives Sakurako some Valentine gifts.
