K-Electric (KE), formerly known as Karachi Electric Supply Company or Karachi Electric Supply Corporation Limited, is a Pakistani utility company based in Karachi. Privatised in 2005 KE is the only vertically integrated utility in Pakistan supplying electricity within a 6500 km square territory including Karachi and its adjoining areas.
The club had a long-standing rivalry with Rawalpindi-based Khan Research Laboratories.The rivalry started when K-Electric and Khan Research Laboratories faced off in two back-to-back Pakistan National Challenge Cup finals, in 2011 and 2012, with Khan Research Laboratories winning both the finals 1–0 and 3–1 on penalties with game drawn 0–0 after extra time respectively.
In 2023, Chishty successfully acquired K-Electric, the sole vertically integrated utility company in Pakistan.This acquisition, transacted in the Cayman Islands, saw the transition of ownership from the well-known Abraaj Group to AsiaPak Investments, orchestrated with minimal public attention.
The 2018–19 season is K-Electric's 105th competitive season, 105th consecutive season in the top flight of Pakistani football, 10th consecutive season in the Pakistan Premier League since gaining promotion from Football Federation League in 2006 and 105th year in existence as a football club.
