A recursive neural network is a kind of deep neural network created by applying the same set of weights recursively over a structured input, to produce a structured prediction over variable-size input structures, or a scalar prediction on it, by traversing a given structure in topological order.
The recursive program above is tail-recursive; it is equivalent to an iterative algorithm, and the computation shown above shows the steps of evaluation that would be performed by a language that eliminates tail calls. Below is a version of the same algorithm using explicit iteration, suitable for a language that does not eliminate tail calls.
A recursive step — a set of rules that reduces all successive cases toward the base case. For example, the following is a recursive definition of a person's ancestor. One's ancestor is either: One's parent (base case), or; One's parent's ancestor (recursive step). The Fibonacci sequence is another classic example of recursion: Fib(0) = 0 as ...

The set of recursive languages is a subset of both RE and co-RE. [3] In fact, it is the intersection of those two classes, because we can decide any problem for which there exists a recogniser and also a co-recogniser by simply interleaving them until one obtains a result.
A recursive formal language is a recursive subset in the set of all possible words over the alphabet of the language. A recursive language is a formal language for which there exists a Turing machine that, when presented with any finite input string , halts and accepts if the string is in the language, and halts and rejects otherwise.
Notable examples of systems employing polymorphic recursion include Dussart, Henglein and Mossin's binding-time analysis [2] and the Tofte–Talpin region-based memory management system. [3] As these systems assume the expressions have already been typed in an underlying type system (not necessary employing polymorphic recursion), inference can ...
This is done by adding another parameter to the basic recursive function and using this parameter as the function for the recursive call. This creates a higher-order function, and passing this higher function itself allows anonymous recursion within the actual recursive function.
