A 1/4 wave ground plane with the feed point at 18 or 36ft off the ground should easily outperform a 1/2 wave or 5/8 wave where the current max is 10ft or 25ft off the ground. And a Starduster is not a 1/4 wave antenna, its a center fed half wave.
At work, and now realize I need to clean my sty of a little.
