The Eastern Caribbean Supreme Court (ECSC) is a superior court of record for the Organisation of Eastern Caribbean States (OECS), [1] including six independent states: Antigua and Barbuda, the Commonwealth of Dominica, Grenada, Saint Kitts and Nevis, Saint Lucia, Saint Vincent and the Grenadines and three British Overseas Territories (Anguilla, British Virgin Islands, and Montserrat).
On 27 November 2012 Bannister J gave judgment dismissing the claims. On 1 November 2018 (after a long delay attributed to loss of the court's file for the case), an appeal was heard by the Court of Appeal. On 13 February 2019 the Court of Appeal of the Eastern Caribbean Supreme Court gave judgment dismissing the appeal.

Biography. Saunders was born in Saint Vincent. He earned his LLB degree with honours from the University of the West Indies at Cave Hill in 1975. In 1996, Saunders was appointed a judge of the Eastern Caribbean Supreme Court (ECSC). He became a High Court Judge in 1997 and from 1997 to 2001 served as a judge in Montserrat and Anguilla.
