Highfields School is a mixed secondary school and sixth form in the Penn area of Wolverhampton, in the West Midlands of England. It was formed in 1957 and accommodates over 1,500 pupils. There is an environmental centre at the back of the school, which as well as lessons, holds many meetings and gatherings for astronomy or the council.

BSF was established on 24 August 1969 with six students up to class III for the children of the BSF personnel. It was at first run by a handful of BSF personnel. It became a full-fledged primary school in 1971. By adding a class every year, it became a middle school in 1975. In 1979, the Department of Education, Meghalaya, recognized the school.
The school is the result of a merger between Starcross School and Barnsbury Girls' School in 1984. [2] Starcross school was founded in 1928 [3] and moved into the buildings made vacant by the 1965 closing of Risinghill School, [4] which had opened in 1960, although a school has existed on the site since 1885 (further extended in 1899 )(originally Rising Hill Street School).
In middle school, students may choose band, chorus or orchestra. Music instruction is given three times per six-day cycle and grades are given. The Middle and High School Bands and Orchestras compete yearly in the NYSSMA competition. In 2014, 2016, and 2017, the High School Orchestra won Gold with Distinction for level VI at NYSSMA Majors.
