Newton Hills State Park is a South Dakota state park in Lincoln County, South Dakota in the United States. The park is 1,063 acres (430 ha) and sits at an elevation of 1,309 feet (399 m). [ 1 ] Newton Hill State Park is open for year-round recreation including camping, swimming, fishing, hiking and boating.
Flintstones Bedrock City was a 62 acres (25 ha) theme park and campground in Custer, South Dakota in the Black Hills which featured buildings and characters inspired by The Flintstones television series. The facility opened in 1966 and closed in 2015. [1] The campground was reopened as Buffalo Ridge Campground Resort.
As people began to move into the Black Hills, several cabins sprang up around Yellow Creek in the Black Hills.In 1894, the town began to be staked out, but was not yet fully founded; when the area boomed around May 1896, a series of large buildings and small cabins, including a two-story boarding house, were built.

Galena is located in the northern Black Hills in Lawrence County, South Dakota. It has an elevation of 4,790 feet (1,460 m). [1] Bear Butte Creek runs beside the town, which is located in a meadow in the middle of a gulch. [3]
