The carbine has a SR9 magwell, the security six mag will work in it just like it works in a SR9c, it won’t fit a SR9 since the mag is too short. it’s 15 rd not 17. This allows Ruger to make more money selling mags. The RAP mag slot is offset from where the 9c. Left is the SR mag, Right is RAP mag. The rectangular slot is what holds the mag in.

I have both and the Security 9 magazines fit the PCC bit the SR9 mags that came with the PCC don't work in the Security 9 without a tweak. You need to add the notch on the left side of the Security 9 mags to work in the PCC. ΜΟΛΩΝ ΛΑΒΕ!
950 posts · Joined 2021. #5 ·Aug 17, 2021. You should tell Ruger that because they seem to not know it. In the gun’s manual Ruger says the device is a slide stop not a slide release. Ruger specifies the “slingshot” method of reading the slide as the intended method.
I ended up getting a Ruger Security-9 to go with my PC Carbine. Took it out yesterday and after 2 mags I starting having problems! 1. Last round hold back would not work on 1 of the mags, not that big of a deal. 2. When slide is locked to the back and I insert a full mag the slide lock will not disengage when pulling back on slide and releasing.
Ruger Security-9, constant failure to extract. I've got about 500 rounds through the pistol at this point. The first 100 went through it with no issue at all. After that I've been getting a failure to extract pretty much at least once per magazine (I have three magazines, and they all act the same). Sometimes it's on the 2nd round.

Next, push the slide stop upward to lock the slide to the rear. Insert a single cartridge directly and fully into the chamber.

The Ruger PC Carbine 9mm comes with accommodation for two different types of magazines; the Ruger standard (SR-Series ) comes pre-installed, plus it ships with an adaptor for Glock magazines. I don't have any other 9mm firearms so cross-compatibility isn't my issue.
