The regulation behind the MOVSM (the volunteer ribbon) doesn't have a number of hours need prayers. I know some commands have implemented a mandatory time limit though. For instance, I needed 200 well documented hours to earn mine. My command is a huge advocate for that ribbon though.
They should generate an MFR and a 4187. The 4187 goes to the first O6 in your chain of command, if I’m not mistaken. Then it allllll has to get uploaded. I might have confused a step or two, but in order to wear a foreign ribbon the 100 percent correct way, you need that 4187. It’s a bitch of a process if your S1 is unfamiliar with it.
You can earn military awards in SMP. When I commissioned, I already had the Army Reserve Achievement Medal, National Defense Service Medal, and Army Service Ribbon. However, when on SMP status, you can’t wear ROTC ribbons simultaneously with Army awards. I have a bunch of ribbons in a ziploc bag that I never once put on my uniform for that ...
As far odd racks I've seen, I knew an E-5 (Army) who wore the Navy Surface Warfare Officer badge. He'd been a Lt. Commander in the Navy once upon a time, and years after getting out had joined the Guard and was an E-5 for a very long time. I once asked him if he would ever make E-6 and he said no, he didn't want to, because as an E-5 he was ...
Keep either the Army Reserve Components Achievement Medal or the Armed Forces Reserve Medal. You get one for every 3 years in the Reserves and the other for every 10 years in the Reserve. You also qualify for the Reserve Medal if you mobilize, but if you mobilize chances are you get something else that shows you were active.
Volunteer for the Volunteer medal. Doing the 100 mile march in the Netherlands will give you a cool medal too, if you ever get the chance. Look into the STARR program (not sure if it's just enlisted, or open to officers) For the most ribbons/medals, just work at the Pentagon. You’re a 62E.
Depends. Some ribbons are nigh impossible (Unit may not grant it, or the barrier to get it is once-in-a-life-time levels of situations to occur to be eligible and are often granted at the HQ Level). Others are called 'breathing' ribbons for a reason.
Wasteful: this must be the easiest ribbon in bitlife, all you have to do is go to the "activities" section on the bottom right corner, and scroll all the way to "surrender" and surrender your life, You can do that at any age you desire. Lazy: This is an easy one, all you have to do is just keep hitting the "age" ribbon until you die.
22–2. Authorization. a. Commanders may require the wear of authorized awards on the following occasions: (1) Parades, reviews, inspections, and funerals. (2) Ceremonial and social occasions. b. Unless directed by a commander per paragraph 22–2a, authorized awards are worn at the option of the wearer, when not prohibited, during normal duty ...
