Don Williams County Park is a park in Boone County, Iowa, north of Ogden. It surrounds Don Williams Reservoir, which flooded during the construction of a dam. It is 600 acres and includes a 150-acre lake. The campground is open from April 15 to October 15. The park is also the headquarters for Boone County Conservation.
Big Ugly Wildlife Management Area is located on 3,061 acres (1,239 ha) [2] near Logan in Lincoln County, West Virginia. The Big Ugly's steep terrain is covered with mixed hardwoods second growth woodlands. Camping is not allowed at Big Ugly WMA, [2] but is available at nearby Chief Logan State Park.
Pilot Mound State Forest lies near the intersection of I Avenue and 140th Street in Boone County. A narrow access road to the since-removed water tower begins at 140th Street and ends at the top of the mound, which is the second-highest point in the county.
