Boulder is the Home Rule City that is the seat of Boulder County, Colorado, United States. [1] With a population of 108,250 at the 2020 census , it is the most populous city in the county and the 12th-most populous city in Colorado. [ 7 ]
Louisville is located in southeastern Boulder County. U.S. Highway 36 (the Denver-Boulder Turnpike) forms the southwest border of the city. According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 8.0 square miles (20.7 km 2), of which 7.9 square miles (20.4 km 2) is land and 0.12 square miles (0.3 km 2), or 1.35%, is water.
