As of June 28, 2024, the Government of India introduced a visa fee exemption program for holders of ordinary Thai passports to boost tourism. This exemption applies to e-Tourist visas and is valid from July 1 to December 31, 2024. Thai tourists can visit India for up to 30 days with double entry under this scheme without paying any visa fees.
