Los Cuates de Sinaloa (English: The Homies of Sinaloa) are a Regional Mexican band from La Vainilla, Sinaloa, that are active in the Sierreño genre. Led by cousins Gabriel and Nano Berrelleza, they are currently based in Phoenix, Arizona .
The area in what is known as Los Cuates today was first settled in the late 1940s, with only scattered houses and farms in the area. It was most likely named for the surrounding Resaca de Los Cuates. The community soon developed into a colonia with several scattered houses in the 1960s. These homes numbered 30 in 1983.
