Blandtown is a neighborhood of the West Midtown area of Atlanta, Georgia.It is located along either side of Huff Road from Howell Mill Road west to Marietta Blvd. [1] It was one of the first black settlements around Atlanta after the Civil War, named for a Black man who owned property.

The highway originally turned right onto Lawrenceville Highway, joining US 29 and SR 8 for a short distance southward before separating at Hugh Howell Road, a roadway connecting Tucker to Stone Mountain Park, and terminating at Stone Mountain Freeway (US 78/SR 10). However, this segment of SR 236 was removed in 2024.
North of I-85, the road crosses over a CSX Transportation rail line. It heads north and northwest to SR 141 (Peachtree Road SW). The highway heads northwest to meet its northern terminus, an intersection with US 19/SR 9 (Roswell Road) in North Buckhead. SR 237 is known as Piedmont Road NE for its entire length. [1]
