Deep Creek Wilderness is a 3,284-acre (13.3 km 2) wilderness area in the US state of Utah.Together with the Deep Creek North Wilderness it protects 7,546-acre (30.5 km 2).It was designated March 30, 2009, as part of the Omnibus Public Land Management Act of 2009.
Nearby communities include Callao, Utah to the east and the community of Ibapah and the lands of the Confederated Tribes of the Goshute Reservation to the west. The highest point in the Deep Creek Range is Ibapah Peak, an ultra prominent peak, which rises to 12,087 feet (3,684 m).
The tribe's headquarters is in Ibapah, Utah, which is an English adaption from a native Goshute term, either from Ai'ba-pa (one name of the last chief of the tribe who was also known under the common chieftain name ta'bi) or from Ai-bim-pa / Ai'bĭm-pa ("White Clay Water" referring to the nearby Deep Creek).
