Sadiq Aman Khan [7] was born on 8 October 1970 at St George's Hospital in Tooting, South London, to a working-class Sunni Muslim-Muhajir family. [ 8 ] [ 9 ] [ 10 ] His grandparents migrated from Lucknow in United Provinces , British India to Pakistan following the partition of India in 1947.
