Whittlesea is a semi-rural town situated on the R67 road in the Hewu district, 37 km south of Komani, Eastern Cape Province, South Africa. The town is made up of the townships Ekuphumleni, Bhede, Ndlambe, Extension 4, Extension 5 and Sada.
In 2022 the City of Whittlesea committed to establish community libraries at Mernda and Wollert East which will be established in partnership with YPRL in 2023. [ 6 ] [ 7 ] Two mobile libraries provide services including a specially designed vehicle that visits institutions for those residents unable to visit a library.
