The James Russell Lowell School is a historic, American elementary school that is located in the Olney neighborhood of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. It is part of the School District of Philadelphia and was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1988. [1]
James Russell Lowell Elementary School was located at 4501 Crittenden Drive in the Highland Park neighborhood of Louisville, Kentucky.Construction began in 1916 on the original portion of the building that was known as Highland Park School and had the only remaining bell tower on a Public School in Louisville, Kentucky.
James Russell Lowell Elementary School was built in 1916 in Highland Park, at that time outside the Louisville city limits. It was known as the East Highland Park School. It was expanded in 1931 and demolished in 1993.
