Korean Central Television (KCTV; Korean: 조선중앙텔레비죤; MR: Chosŏn Chungang T'ellebijyon) is a North Korean television service operated by the Korean Central Broadcasting Committee, a state-owned broadcaster in North Korea.
KCTV previously produced the talk and lifestyle program Better Kansas City, which aired weekday mornings at 9 a.m. and was produced independently from the station's news department. The program, which initially debuted in 2012, was formatted after the national Meredith-distributed lifestyle program Better. [109] [110]
This is the oldest and main television channel in North Korea, and it started regular broadcasting in 1963. As of 2017, it is the only North Korean TV channel broadcasting to the outside world via satellite television and IPTV aside from domestic transmissions. KCTV previously produced the talk and lifestyle program Better Kansas City. The start year of this program is mentioned but not the end year. Lack of RS (and I'm sorry I missed this). It seems to have been canceled in June 2020 or so at the height of COVID, per a blog we don't cite here.
