The University of Delhi (UOD), informally known as Delhi University (DU), is a collegiate public central university, located in New Delhi, India. It was founded in 1922 by an Act of the Central Legislative Assembly. As a collegiate university, its main functions are divided between the academic departments of the university and affiliated colleges.

Shaheed Sukhdev College of Business Studies (SSCBS), previously known as College of Business Studies, is an institute for management studies under Delhi University, India. [1] It is located at Sector 16, Rohini, Delhi. It is named after Sukhdev Thapar, who was a prominent freedom fighter in the pre-independence era.
One of its flagship programmes is its B.A.(Honours) Business Economics programme. As of the latest records, the college has a total student strength of about 2200 and teaching faculty comprising 70 teachers. The Principal is Dr J. B. Each year the college selects students with "potential for excellence" through sports quota tests under the guidance of Dr. K. K. Sharma. In a short span of time, the college has carved a niche on the map of University of Delhi through various achievements secured by students and the staff members at the University and National Level respectively.
The status of College with Potential for Excellence (UGC 2004) and Star College (DBT 2011) were awarded; CPE was withdrawn in 2011 because of lack of NAAC accreditation which is absent in all of Delhi colleges. [7] Pass courses in BA, BSc, BCom, Life Science, Biological Science and Honours in Tamil and Telugu were discontinued in 2013.
The English debating society, popularly known as the Debsoc, is representative of an inquiring and active intellectual life on campus. Debsoc is the only debating society at Delhi University to organise four major debates in an academic year. [18] The Science Forum is a group of diverse science enthusiasts dwelling in Hindu College.
