The St. George Regional Airport has been approved for the FAA Contract Tower Program in late 2022 or early 2023. If the city builds an air traffic control tower in the next 5 years, the FAA will staff it at no cost to the city or airport. The city requested $10 million from the Utah Legislature in 2023 to help with this and other airport projects.
