Television Jamaica (TVJ) is a television station in Kingston, Jamaica owned by the RJRGleaner Communications Group. [ 1 ] [ 2 ] It is one of Jamaica 's two major television stations. John Wesley Claver Jones (November 12, 1949 – March 5, 1991), was an American journalist who became the first African-American news anchor in the Philadelphia television market. He was also the first anchor to be born, raised, and educated in Philadelphia.
