The conclave is the legislative power of Phi Beta Sigma. During a conclave year, delegates representing all of the active chapters from within the seven regions of the fraternity meet in the chosen city. The conclave or fraternity convention is currently held biannually and is usually hosted by graduate chapters of the chosen city.
The winner will receive the conference's automatic bid to the 2025 NCAA Tournament. Due to a major conference realignment that significantly impacted the Big 12, it will be the first tournament with 16 teams participating. At the beginning of the 2024–25 season, Arizona, Arizona State, Colorado, and Utah joined the conference.

In 1944, the NAHB held its first annual convention and exposition, later becoming the International Builders' Show in 1998. From its early start, the show has grown to attract more than 100,000 attendees, making it one of the largest conventions in the country.
More than a dozen conferences have been held from 1994 to the present; the second was held in 1997 and the conference has been held annually since 2006. [2] The sold-out 2010 conference attracted 2,147 attendees from 29 countries. Beginning in 2011, the conference has been held in a convention center to accommodate its growing size. [3]
