The US Carrom Association was formed in 1995 to promote the international sport of carrom in America.The goal of the USCA is to create a thriving carrom community in the US and to ensure US participation in the many international carrom tournaments and events organized by the International Carrom Federation or other National Carrom Associations around the world.

The Asian Carrom Confederation became affiliated with the AICF in September 1995. The All-India Carrom Federation and the game of carrom was recognized [clarification needed] by the Indian Olympic Association on 26 October 1997. The game of carrom was also recognized by the School Games Federation of India in 1996.
The National Carrom Championship is the most prestigious competition organized by the AICF, where top players from across the country compete. In addition, regional tournaments take place at the state level, organized by state carrom associations. India has hosted two World Carrom Championships, in 1991 and 2000, both held in New Delhi.
Carrom players of the GTBSC won top positions in state-level Carrom championships and performed well in several national tournaments. Apart from Carrom, the club was also active in table tennis, volleyball, and chess. This club is currently inactive.
The 2018 Carrom World Cup was the 5th edition of the Carrom World Cup which held in the city of Chuncheon, South Korea for 7 days from 23 August to 26 August. This was staged as the first international carrom tournament since the 2016 Carrom World Championship and also marked the first Carrom World Cup to be held in South Korea. [ 1 ]
