An off-road vehicle (ORV), also referred to as an off-highway vehicle (OHV), overland vehicle, or adventure vehicle, is any vehicle designed to drive on non-paved surfaces, [1] such as trails and forest roads, that have rough, uneven, and low-traction surfaces.

The FFV can operate on either unleaded gasoline or E85 ethanol-blended fuel using the Ford 4.0 L Cologne OHV V6 engine. The FFV is similar in appearance to and has the same purpose as the earlier Grumman LLV; it can be distinguished from the LLV by the presence of a cargo-area window behind the street-side sliding door of the FFV.
The new (and unrelated) LT5, however, has increased its displacement from 5.7 to 6.2L (350 to 376 cu in), retains the Gen V OHV valvetrain, and is topped with a 2.6 L (158.7 cu in) Eaton TVS supercharger and an improved intercooler.
