The song is remodeled by Storm Weather Shanty Choir. There is a version in Icelandic, called "Fulla ferð Santíanó" ("Full Ahead Santiano"), a seaman's story about sailing home after days at sea, written by Siggi Björns an Icelandic musician and an ex-fisherman.

Santiano is a German band from the northern state of Schleswig-Holstein, Germany, whose songs combine rock, Irish folk, sea shanty, and schlager music. The name Santiano is taken from the Hugues Aufray song of the same name. They topped the German album charts multiple times in the 2010s, also ranking high in Austrian and Swiss charts.
Aufray is known for French language covers of Bob Dylan's songs. Aufray knew Dylan and his work from his time in New York City, [1] as well as from record shops, and his translations capture the rawness of the original songs. His most famous original songs are "Santiano", "Céline", "Stewball" and "Hasta Luego".
