In 1965 it was a number 5 hit in the US for Herman's Hermits , and in 1990 it was a number 10 hit in the UK for Cliff Richard .
The Silhouettes were formed in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, United States, in 1956, at first using the name The Thunderbirds. [1] Their classic hit "Get a Job" – originally the B-side to "I Am Lonely" – was issued by their manager, Kae Williams, on his own Junior Records label [1] before being sold to the nationally distributed Ember label in late 1957.
