In July 2024 the Madison County Water Department completed a survey of the water service line material in the County owned distribution system. This survey was conducted to meet the requirements of the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Lead and Copper Rule (LCRR), as implemented by the Alabama Department of Environmental Management (ADEM).
Project Description: This project is in conjunction with Madison County Public Works' project: Moores Mill Road and Countess Road Intersection Improvements. It includes clearing and grubbing the newly acquired right-of-way and the installation of 2400 ft of ductile-iron pipe to replace existing mains and move the pipe into the right-of-way.
