Established in 1941, the State Civil Service Commission (Commission) is a nonpartisan three-member independent administrative state agency. Members of the Commission are nominated by the Governor of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and confirmed with the advice and consent of the Pennsylvania State Senate to six-year terms.
