Menominee County (/ m ə ˈ n ɒ m ə n i / mə-NAH-mə-nee) is a county located in the Upper Peninsula in the U.S. state of Michigan. As of the 2020 census, the population was 23,502. [2] The county seat is Menominee. [3] The county's name comes from an Ojibwe word meaning "wild rice eater" used to describe the Menominee people.

Hermansville is an unincorporated community and census-designated place (CDP) in Meyer Township of Menominee County in the U.S. state of Michigan. [3] As of the 2020 census, it had a population of 509. [2] The community formed around the defunct Wisconsin Land & Lumber Company as a company town.

The township is south of the center of Menominee County. The city of Stephenson is surrounded by the western part of the township. U.S. Route 41 passes through the township and city, leading south 21 miles (34 km) to Menominee, the county seat, and north 20 miles (32 km) to Powers.
