So here is my situation. I have Minecraft bedrock edition for PC. I can install the launcher, signed in to my Microsoft account and play bedrock PC edition. I cannot play Java. It tells me I have to buy the Java & Bedrock edition in the store too.

I downloaded the Minecraft Launcher and am attempting to install Minecraft for Windows and every time I click "Install", it has me select the drive to install it and then immediately afterward, the word "Error" appears in the lower left of the launcher next to settings. I'm unable to click the Pause or the "X" in the lower right of the screen.
