English: Talk Pages are a student’s gateway to the Wikipedia community. Since, your students will use talk pages to interact with your course page and each other, as well as other Wikipedia editors, this handout addresses the technical aspects of how to find and use sustain basic etiquette on their talk pages or those of articles they’re written on.

The talk page associated with a page in another namespace is named by adding "talk" after the namespace label; for example, the talk page for Wikipedia:About is called Wikipedia talk:About. When viewing an article (or any other non-talk page) on the Wikipedia, a link to the corresponding talk page appears on the "Talk" tab at the top of the page.
Then go back to your page and scroll to the bottom to the “Categories” box. Press the plus sign to add an existing category. A book published in 2017 could be added to the “2017 children’s books” category. Look at the Wikipedia page of a similar book to help you decide what categories to add.
On the centralized talk page, list all of the archived talk pages. {{Archive banner}} is useful for this. Redirect each talk page to the desired talk page; see Wikipedia:Redirect. It is recommended that an editnotice be created for the redirected talk pages; see Wikipedia:Editnotice. {{Editnotice central redirected}} is useful for this.
