Mimikyu (/ ˈ m iː m iː k j uː / ⓘ; Japanese: ミミッキュ, Hepburn: Mimikkyu) is a Pokémon species in Nintendo and Game Freak's Pokémon franchise. Designed by Megumi Mizutani for the 2016 video games Pokémon Sun and Moon, it is referred to as the "disguise Pokémon" in the series due to its appearance, which resembles a ragdoll form of Pikachu, the series mascot.
Jessie eventually repairs Mimikyu's Pikachu disguise, but it is stolen by a flock of Murkrow who were actually after Jessie's malasada. James, Meowth, and Wobbuffet catch up to Jessie just as she retrieves both disguise and malasada. The angry Murkrow return in force, but Mimikyu resumes its Pikachu disguise and drives them off.
Eventually, it locates the bag that dropped the Poké Beans, which is revealed to be the Pokémon Mimikyu. Scared of the Mimikyu, Scraggy begins attacking it while hiding in a suitcase, and the two Pokémon eventually begin wrestling. After grabbing Mimikyu and releasing that its body is full of Poké Beans, Scraggy looks under its cloth.
