Terre Haute (/ ˈ t ɛr ə ˈ h oʊ t / TERR-ə HOHT) [4] is a city in and the county seat of Vigo County, Indiana, United States, [5] about 5 miles (8 km) east of the state's western border with Illinois.
Vigo County (/ ˈ v iː ɡ oʊ / VEE-goh) is a county on the western border of the U.S. state of Indiana.According to the 2020 United States census, it had a population of 106,153. [1]

Wabash Avenue–West Historic District is a national historic district located at Terre Haute, Vigo County, Indiana.It encompasses 24 contributing buildings in the central business district of Terre Haute.
Terre Haute: This beaux-arts structure was designed by Daniel H. Burnham and was originally an interurban train station. Made of terra cotta and brick, it has identical facades on the north and south sides.
