The Fatih Mosque complex was a religious and social building of unprecedented size and complexity built in Istanbul between 1463 and 1470 by order of Mehmed II. [1] The 4th-century Church of the Holy Apostles was demolished to make way for the mosque.

Fatih Sultan Mehmet Nature Park (Turkish: 'Fatih Sultan Mehmet Tabiat Parkı) is a nature park located in Sarıyer district of Istanbul Province, Turkey. [1] Fatih Sultan Mehmet Nature Park is situated southwest of Sarıyer and southeast of Belgrad Forest. It covers an area of 111.85 ha (276.4 acres). [2]
The tomb is situated on the corner of Bankacılar St. and Yeni Cami St. in Eminönü quarter of Fatih in Istanbul. [1] It was built in 1663 for Turhan Sultan (c. 1627–1683). She was the first Haseki Sultan of Sultan Ibrahim (reigned 1640–1648) and the mother and Valide Sultan of Sultan Mehmed IV (r. 1648–1687).

The Fatih Sultan Mehmet Bridge, named after the Ottoman Sultan that commissioned Rumelihisarı and conquered the city, is located close to the fortress, to the north. Rumelihisarı is open to public every day except Mondays from 9:00 to 16:30. The fortress was depicted on various Turkish banknotes during 1939–1986. [4]
