Gewandhaus (German: [ɡəˈvanthaʊs] ⓘ) is a concert hall in Leipzig, the home of the Leipzig Gewandhaus Orchestra. Today's hall is the third to bear this name; like the second, it is noted for its fine acoustics.

The Mendebrunnen is located at Augustusplatz in front of the Gewandhaus (Concert Hall) (). It is the largest fountain in Leipzig and cost 189,000 gold marks to construct. It was built by Adolf Gnauth in 1883–86.

In the 14th Gewandhaus concert on 12 February 1948, the organ was played for the first time by Günther Ramin, and works by Handel, Bach and Bruckner were heard. Due to the fact that the organ was divided between two widely separated locations in the hall, its technical construction was complicated and it was very susceptible to malfunctions.

The New Concert Hall [62] in the music district was built between 1882 and 1884 based on designs by Martin Gropius and Heino Schmieden and opened on 11 December 1884.
