Trans-Canada Air Lines (also known as TCA in English, and Trans-Canada in French) was a Canadian airline that operated as the country's flag carrier, [2] with corporate headquarters in Montreal, Quebec. [1] Its first president was Gordon Roy McGregor. Founded in 1937, [3] [4] it was renamed Air Canada in 1965.

Lewie joined the Royal Canadian Air Force in 1940. His first assignment was anti-submarine flying, but was transferred to Transport Command in 1942. [3] It is there that he is chiefly remembered for his excellent administrative abilities, almost overnight revolutionizing how Transport Command ran, more like a professional airline than the previous hodge podge of assignments.

Boggs' early civilian career included positions with Trans-Canada Airlines (1945–1950) and Canadair (1950–1957) before he joined Can-Car, a Hawker Siddeley Canada subsidiary and became Hawker Siddeley's vice president. In 1965, he became President of de Havilland Canada (DHC).
