The National Serigraph Society was founded in 1940 by a group of artists involved in the WPA Federal Art Project, including Anthony Velonis, Max Arthur Cohn, and Hyman Warsager. In the 1940s Maccoy's work was included in several of the Dallas Museum of Art exhibitions of the National Serigraph Society. [5] [6] [7] In 1947 Maccoy moved to Los Angeles, California where he taught at the Otis Art Institute and was a founder of the Western Serigraph Society. [4] He died on March 18, 1981 [1] in Los Angeles. [2]
