Grauman's Chinese Theatre, also known as TCL Chinese Theatre for sponsorship reasons, is a movie palace on the historic Hollywood Walk of Fame in the Hollywood neighborhood of Los Angeles, California, United States. The original Chinese Theatre was commissioned following the success of the nearby Grauman's Egyptian Theatre, which opened in 1922.
The building also housed a restaurant called Vagabond's House, which was possibly Los Angeles' first Tiki bar. [ 3 ] During its peak, it was one of the city's most popular revival houses, but the advent of video almost led to its downfall in the late 1980s.
