[17] In 1987, MD 313 and MD 404 were rerouted to bypass Denton along the newly completed four-lane divided bypass. The former alignment of MD 404 through Denton became MD 404 Bus. [18]
After World War II, construction began to fill the 5-mile (8.0 km) gap between the eastern end of MD 328 and the western end of MD 457. [10] The new bridge over Tuckahoe Creek and the remainder of the highway were completed in 1947 and by 1948 the MD 328 designation was applied to the whole highway from Easton to Denton.
