Al Fateh University – Tripoli [ edit ] After earning his PhD in Geology from the University of Stuttgart in August 1972, El Khoudary moved subsequently to Libya to work as a lecturer at the Faculty of Petroleum & Mining Engg. of Al Fateh University in Tripoli and stayed at that university until the summer of 1983.
It is also one of the main two teaching hospitals for the Al Fateh University's medical-sciences department, the other being the Tripoli Medical Center. In 2005, the Libyan National organ transplantation program was initiated. A building annexed to the old surgery serve as the transplantation department.
