The Point Roberts–Boundary Bay Border Crossing connects the communities of Point Roberts, Washington, and Tsawwassen, British Columbia on the Canada–US border. Tyee Drive on the American side joins 56 Street on the Canadian side. The crossing is the westernmost in the contiguous United States. [1]
To the west, it is bounded by the Tsawwassen Peninsula, which contains the communities of Tsawwassen (a suburb of Delta) and Point Roberts, Washington (a pene-exclave of the United States). To the south, it is bounded by the Strait of Georgia , the northern arm of the larger Salish Sea .
Tsawwassen has recreational access to Boundary Bay at Centennial Park, and there is an extensive bike/foot path along the edge of the bay, known as the Dyke. Tsawwassen's southern boundary is the Canada–United States border, following the 49th parallel north.
